2nd Shift Machining Team Leader
$29/hr ($28 base pay + $1 shift differential)
2nd Shift: Mon - Thu, 3:15pm - 1:45 am

As a CNC & Machining Team Leader, you play a critical role in leading machining operations and ensuring parts are produced safely, accurately, and on schedule. Your technical expertise and leadership help develop associates, improve machining processes, support new product launches, and drive continuous improvement throughout the machine shop.

What You’ll Do

As a CNC & Machining Team Leader, you will:

  • Supervise and support CNC operators and machinists to meet safety, quality, and production goals
  • Define and improve CNC and machining processes to increase efficiency and reduce waste
  • Launch new products using project management tools and identify appropriate tooling, fixtures, and equipment for production
  • Operate CNC and machining equipment and train associates on machining operations and safe equipment use
  • Create, modify, and prove out CNC programs to support production requirements
  • Manufacture and inspect detailed parts and tooling using engineering drawings and specifications
  • Coordinate workflow and priorities throughout the machine shop
  • Manage production schedules and take proactive and reactive steps to ensure work is completed on time
  • Communicate production priorities and expectations to machine shop personnel
  • Develop and implement corrective actions to address quality, safety, and process issues
  • Maintain visual management and lean manufacturing practices throughout the machine shop
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives through structured project management
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment and address safety hazards promptly
  • Provide clear verbal instructions and technical guidance to team members
  • Train new associates on the safe operation of mills, CNC lathes, drill presses, saws, and other shop equipment
  • Partner with the Factory Leader to align priorities and ensure customer deadlines are met

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet production deadlines

Desired Experience
  • Experience supervising or leading CNC operators and machinists
  • Experience writing, modifying, and proving out CNC programs
  • Proficiency with basic CNC programming and ability to train others on CNC programs
  • Experience with lean manufacturing and visual management systems
  • Experience leading continuous improvement projects using project management principles
  • Experience coordinating workflow in a machine shop environment
Education

High School Diploma or equivalent required

Additional vocational or trade school training in machining, CNC programming, or a related field is a plus
