What To Expect
The Production Associate (1st Shift) will operate all packaging equipment to manufacture high‑quality finished lubricant products in a safe, efficient and environmentally responsible manner. Some of the processes involve hazardous and volatile materials under high temperature and pressure. Typical working conditions include outside weather and elements, blowing air, heat, noise, vibration, occasionally working from heights and confined spaces, and are subject to overtime.
Production Associates must follow safe work practices including the wearing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). In addition, the Production Associate performs various duties required to keep their assigned processing unit/area operating safely and at specified production/run rates. The Production Associate will be reporting to the Selmer, TN facility.
The position requires the successful completion of an online assessment within 7 days of application or prior to the job posting expiration, whichever is earlier. Assessment results are valid for one year.
What You'll Do- Accurately and safely operate all production equipment.
- Manufacture product according to scheduling requirements and customer needs.
- Fill a variety of containers from 4 oz to 55‑gallon containers, placing them in cases to be stacked or directly on pallets so they may be stacked or staged for customer needs.
- Read, understand and follow documentation necessary to assemble various types of packaged products.
- Operate, adjust and monitor the production process to achieve optimum efficiency.
- Adapt to changes in schedule due to customer needs, breakdowns and business needs.
- Accurately account for all finished product produced and raw materials consumed.
- Perform and document all quality checks to ensure finished product is manufactured as specified at all times.
- Visually inspect raw materials, such as containers, and alert personnel regarding defects.
- Take ownership of all production activities and communicate variances or concerns to management and scheduling.
- Assure compliance with all Company policies and Health Safety Environmental Quality (HSEQ) procedures and training requirements.
- Prioritize and organize required job activities and complete them in a timely manner.
- Work independently without constant supervision.
- Maintain proper housekeeping to assure a safe and environmentally sound work area.
- Stack the inspected and filled cases onto a pallet and ensure the case is sealed, dated, and labeled correctly.
- Stack up to 700‑3000 cases per day depending on the production line.
- Be a team player focusing on contributing to the organization and communicating with others.
- Legally authorized to work in the job posting country.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must be willing and able, with or without a reasonable accommodation, to perform all duties, including lifting (raise and transport up to 50 pounds), bending, stooping, moderate manual labor, confined space work, climbing, and working at various levels above ground.
- Must be willing and able, with or without a reasonable accommodation, to work overtime as required.
- 1 or more years of experience in manufacturing.
- Experience in operations.
- Basic Microsoft Office computer skills.
This position has a base hourly pay of $16.56.
