Position SummaryAGRANA Fruit is seeking a highly organized and team-oriented Production Scheduler to evaluate and understand inventories, providing product to the customer as requested. The scheduler will input the production schedule to coordinate the best product mix to provide the most efficient production while maintaining labor balances. They will have weekly meetings with the management team to review the upcoming week’s schedule to allow for feedback and make any necessary adjustments to the schedule.
Reports to the Supply Chain Supervisor.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and possesses excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities Scheduling- Input the production schedule, analyze orders and available raw materials
- Schedule rinses, boilouts, and sanitations
- Analyze open orders and schedule to provide the most efficient schedule to the plant.
- Work with New Product Development (NPD) and technical services to ensure trials are scheduled timely and accurately
- Optimize Rework scheduling
- Convert and release orders in SAP ensuring all materials are available for the production schedule prior to release
- Download all orders and verify all are loaded for production
- Create the weekly production schedule report and conduct meeting for the management team
- Work with the Operations team to review batch sizes to optimize line capacity and tote fill weights
- Daily review of quality
- Reschedule production if needed
- Schedule preventative maintenance as requested by the Maintenance Manager
- Schedule Gasket changes and metal detector tests as required.
- Communicate closely with the production team and Supply Chain Supervisor on staying up to date with the production lines making any necessary adjustments
- Order materials required for the production plan and ensure they are all delivered at the right temperature, on time; follow-up with suppliers and/or carriers as needed.
- Verify all materials and packaging supplies are ordered by working with the Materials Planner(s) to ensure production is covered.
- Participate in cycle counts as needed and physical inventories.
- Review of finished product inventory to ensure proper product is scheduled and produced.
- Ensure rework is scheduled to allow for optimum usage
- Ensure rework inventory is maintained and consumptions are posted
- Correct any issues to ensure accurate inventory
- Review issues with the Customer Service team to ensure all items are addressed

- Associates degree required, in Supply Chain, Business or applicable field
- 3-5 years’ experience in Scheduling, Planning, Capacity Planning
- 3-5 years’ experience in SAP in PP and MM module, or similar planning system
- 1-2 years’ experience in buying and/or purchasing a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business or applicable field a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
