machine operator/heavy labor worker is an employee in the production department. This role is member to our production team and is responsible to perform manual and heavy labor when necessary and, operate company equipment such as bagger, scales, printers, etc. Needed to process with the highest standards of food quality. The employee is required to notify any issues regarding food safety and general safety awareness.

adhere to all classic salads food safety and gmp policies, including basic policies (trn-0101, trn-102, trn-103. Trn-104. Trn-105. Trn-1061).complete classic salads standard production proceduresuse proper lifting and folding boxes techniquesreport all deficiencies to management.work overtime and weekends and holidays if necessary.move product and/or materials manuallyreport all injuries and incidents big or smalldemonstrate attention to detail (bag seals, date codes, weights, etc)report any foreign objects while performing duties to immediate supervisor.communicate with management and/or other employeesbe conscious to reduce material spoilage.able to work in a cold wet environment 34-36 °fwork/cross-train in other areasoperate company's equipment ( baggers, scales, spin dryers, feed belts, box coders, etc.)calibrate scales dailyteam lift film roll stock 50-150 lbskeep work area cleanmaintain correct weights and measurements according to product specificationmaintain correct coding according to product specificationsstay in assigned work areaability to operate a manual pallet jackstack and lift raw and finished product containers/boxes 10-50 lbs occasionallyteam lift garbage cans 10-70 lbs occasionallylift empty pallets 45-85 lbs occasionallycommunicate with production supervisor, qc department, and data entrywrap and palletize finished product occasionallymark cartons and label according to instructions occasionallycomplete daily reportsfollow directions regarding product mixes and recipeswear required personal protective equipment (ppe): bump cap, hearing protection, hair net, beard net, eye protection (goggles), face shield, gloves, slip-resistant shoes, wet/rain suit, apron, etc.be aware of surroundings due to forklift trafficeducation and/or work experience
high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Experience of work in a similar environment preferred. Able to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work with fast-changing priorities and keep up with workflow. Work in a team effort environment. Able to follow simple instructions. Demostrated knowledge or experience operating packing equipment. Basic math skills. Demonstrate knowledge or experience working with produce or similar field.
Bilingual (english, spanish) preferred. Relocate to yuma az./royal oaks ca. During seasonal rotation preferred.
