Maintenance Generalist Lead MG08L 3rd shift -Newbern

Job Title

This position is responsible for assisting the Supervisor in coordination of the daily responsibilities of the department by insuring the Supervisor's instructions are communicated to the team members and carried out timely and correctly. This position is also responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Must be willing to set up, adjust and break down production line machinery. Must be willing to learn Tyson SAP software to make work orders and fill out the daily documentation that is required in the system. Must be able to comprehend and process the paperwork necessary to the position. Must be able to communicate with co-workers and management. Must be able to use math as needed to make work related computations for machinery, fluid capacities, etc.

Must be willing to lift up to 50 lbs. on a daily basis and be willing to work on your feet for a period of 12 hours. Must be willing to complete all required training for the job. Must be willing to learn inventory management and perform other duties assigned to the lead (including assigning work, communicating with contractors/vendors and assisting supervisor with various plant projects).

Must be willing to work in hot, cold and wet environments (50 degrees in the plant,
-10 in the freezer and dependent upon the weather outside).

Requirements:
Must have a minimum 6 cumulative experience months industrial maintenance experience or equivalent training.
