General Production Worker
Job Description
The General Production Worker operates manufacturing equipment and supports a variety of production tasks, including assembly, packaging, and inspection, to ensure products meet quality and safety standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
Operate general production machinery safely and efficiently according to established procedures.
Perform general labor tasks such as material handling, organizing work areas, and supporting production lines as needed.
Assemble components and products accurately, following work instructions and quality guidelines.
Package finished products according to specifications, ensuring correct labeling and secure packing.
Inspect products and materials for defects or inconsistencies and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.
Monitor machines during operation to identify and resolve minor issues or irregularities.
Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment, and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production goals and timelines.
Assist with basic machine setup, adjustments, and changeovers under guidance when required.
Essential Skills
Experience in general production, manufacturing, or similar hands‑on work environments.
Ability to operate production and packaging machinery safely and effectively.
Capability to perform general labor tasks, including lifting, moving, and organizing materials.
Familiarity with assembly processes and following detailed work instructions.
Basic inspection skills to identify defects or quality issues in products.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
Ability to follow safety procedures and use personal protective equipment correctly.
Reliability and punctuality in a structured production schedule.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience in construction, assembly, or machine operation is beneficial.
Comfort working with various types of production equipment and tools.
Willingness to learn new processes and adapt to different tasks within the production area.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Work Environment
This role is based in a manufacturing facility with active production lines and machinery. Personal protective equipment is required, including ear and eye protection. Steel‑toe footwear is not required; tennis shoes are acceptable as part of the dress code. The environment may be fast‑paced and involve standing for extended periods, handling materials, and working near machinery throughout the shift.

This is a Contract position based out of Dunlap, TN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $19.39/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors.
