Maintenance Mechanic

Aerotek is hiring Maintenance Mechanics for a heavy industrial/manufacturing company located in Huntingdon, TN. These positions are on a weekly rotating schedule, but will train on 1st shift for 6-9 months. Pay is $36.21/hr plus $1/hr differential for off shifts. 6 Month Contract to Hire. We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production machinery. You will work with a variety of systems including hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical machines, melting/holding furnaces, casting lines, hot/cold rolling mills, annealing furnaces, and slitters. Additionally, you will perform routine maintenance on industrial trucks and handle high-pressure hydraulics and pneumatic systems.

• Troubleshoot and repair production machinery in a manufacturing environment.
• Work with hydraulic systems, pneumatics, mechanical machines, melting/holding furnaces, casting lines, hot/cold rolling mills, annealing furnaces, and slitters.
• Perform routine maintenance on gas, diesel, and electric industrial trucks.
• Repair high-pressure hydraulics and pneumatic systems used throughout rolling and slitting operations.
• Maintain pumps, valves, cylinders, accumulators, and filtration systems.
• Perform precision mechanical work such as alignment, torqueing, rigging, and rebuilds.
• Troubleshoot cooling towers, chillers, and lubrication systems.

Work in a heavy industrial manufacturing plant with a 21-day rotating schedule. The environment is non-temp controlled, with mills and furnaces creating higher temperatures; be prepared to handle heat, noise, and high-speed equipment. The plant is spread out with separated buildings, and some areas may have metal shavings due to slitter machines. Summer temperatures can reach the low 100s, while winter is cooler, averaging in the 60s.

Hydration is encouraged during summer, and large fans help with air flow. Note that water bottles, cans, butane lighters, and E-Cigs or Vaping Canisters are not allowed on-site due to business nature and process risks.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Huntingdon, TN.

The pay range for this position is $36.21 - $36.21/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
