Quality Evaluation​/Teardown Operator

Brief Description

Are you a detail-oriented, hands-on team player who takes pride in quality work and continuous improvement? If so, this position may be a great fit for you. As a Quality Evaluation / Teardown Operator you will assemble Hydro-Gear products according to documented standards while also performing detailed product teardown and evaluation activities. In this role, you will help ensure product quality, identify potential issues, and support continuous improvement efforts within production.

You will work both independently and collaboratively to meet safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals while maintaining program standards.

• Perform various production and related operations per documented standard work and other written/verbal standards/instructions
• Perform station setup and minor preventive maintenance activities per documented instructions
• Stock and handle component parts to support production
• Monitor the quality of component parts and assemblies – and communicate potential rejects timely
• Perform product teardown operations per documented standards – and communicate results timely to production leadership
• Work positively as a team to meet goals for and improve safety, quality, delivery, and production output
• Timely communicate any risks to safety, quality, delivery, and productivity performance
• Participate in 6S organization efforts
• Comply with company policies, procedures, standard work, work instructions, and other instructions

• Read and interpret operating instructions, procedure manuals, and other work-related documents.
• Write routine reports and correspondence, and clearly communicate basic information to peers and subordinates.
• Perform basic math operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using standard units (pieces, distance, weight).
• Interpret and understand basic graphs and numerical data.
• Apply basic reasoning skills to identify issues, gather information, establish facts, and develop practical solutions.
