Job Responsibilities:
The function of the Die Setter is to work safely and efficiently, ensuring set-up schedule and production needs are achieved. It is expected that there is a commitment for never ending improvements and a positive relationship to fellow employee & leaders, while supporting the Magna Employee’s Charter, Core Values and the policies and procedures of MST Inc.
- Follow and enforce all plant safety rules and policies
- Complete set-up responsibility
- Pre-staging of all set-up (tools, dies, conveyors, chutes, clamping required)
- Establish and maintain communication with other employees and support departments
- Initiate and sustain 5s opportunities
- Supply tool room with necessary dies
- Continually organize die storage area
- Promote good housekeeping (5S).
- Perform other duties as required.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Previous experience as Tool & Die setter is preferred
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Ability to read and follow work instructions and safety requirements
- Basic understanding of stamping processes
- Prior experience in a stamping facility preferred
