At JTEKT Automotive Tennessee Vonore, our Maintenance Technicians play a critical role in keeping our operations running safely and efficiently. In this hands-on role, you will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain advanced automated production equipment in a fast-paced Tier-1 automotive manufacturing environment. You will be the go-to expert for solving complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues—helping minimize downtime and keep production on track.

/ Purpose
Troubleshoot and repair automated production equipment including mills, lathes, grinders, washers, powder coat, and assembly systems across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic functions.
Essential Duties and Accountabilities- Read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics
- Troubleshoot electrical systems including three-phase power, PLCs, and CNC controls
- Diagnose AC/DC drives, servo motors, and related components
- Support mechanical systems including gearboxes, ball screws, rails, and bearings
- Perform fabrication tasks including cutting, welding, and grinding
- Troubleshoot and modify pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Use precision measuring instruments and diagnostic tools
- Identify, source, and replace parts; modify equipment as needed
- Work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of relay logic and electrical systems
- Ability to read technical documentation and schematics
- Strong math and measurement skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Basic knowledge of safety and environmental systems
High School Diploma or GED required.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
Requires standing and walking for extended periods (up to 12-hour shifts), performing repetitive motions, lifting up to 50 pounds, and visually inspecting equipment and components in a manufacturing environment.
