About the Role:

The Bailer - 2nd Shift (Mon-Fri/ 3p-11p) plays a critical role in the efficient operation of our manufacturing by managing the baling equipment to compact materials into manageable bales.

This position ensures that materials are processed safely and efficiently, contributing to the overall productivity and environmental compliance of the facility. The role requires close attention to detail to monitor equipment performance, identify potential issues, and maintain quality standards for the baled materials. Working primarily during the second shift, the Bailer will collaborate with team members to meet production targets while adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor baling machinery to compact recyclable or waste materials according to established procedures.
• Inspect materials prior to baling to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records of production output, material types, and any incidents during the shift.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production goals and maintain a safe work environment.
• Follow all company safety policies and regulatory requirements related to equipment operation and material handling.

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Forklift experience preferred or ability to become forklift certified through the company.
• Strong attention to safety, quality, and detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Reliable attendance and flexibility to work assigned shifts, including overtime when needed.

• Stand and walk for most of the shift.
• Frequently lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Perform repetitive movements, including bending, reaching, twisting, and material handling throughout the shift.
• Ability to safely operate machinery, tools, and production equipment.
• Manufacturing/warehouse environment with exposure to noise, dust, varying temperatures, and moving equipment.
• Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all company safety policies.
• Cross-training and rotation between workstations based on production needs.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while performing other duties as assigned.
