Maintenance Technician (Cut & Sew Manufacturing)

Position Summary:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment in a fast-paced cut & sew manufacturing facility. This role supports operational efficiency by ensuring all machinery-including sewing machines, RF welders, lathes, mills, and associated equipment-operates safely and reliably.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial sewing machines, RF welders, and production equipment
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
Conduct preventative maintenance (PM) activities to minimize downtime and extend equipment life
Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and production issues
Install, test, and adjust machinery and equipment as needed
Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation
Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency
Ensure compliance with all safety standards and company policies
Assist with facility maintenance as needed

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (technical training or certification preferred)
2+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Basic knowledge of electrical systems (wiring, motors, controls)
Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics systems
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

3 - 5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience in a machine shop, cut & sew, or textile manufacturing environment
Hands-on experience with industrial sewing machines and RF welding equipment
Background in a machine shop or fabrication environment
Experience with PLCs and automated systems
Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels

Work Environment:

Industrial manufacturing setting (cut & sew production floor)
Exposure to moving machinery, fabrics, and production materials
