Community Impact Coordinator

Together Morgan County is a local community coalition supported by Morgan County Schools through funding provided by Save the Children. The coalition seeks to increase literacy and learning across Morgan County. The Community Impact Coordinator will be part of a small team responsible for driving Together Morgan County's work forward, supporting day-to-day communications, administration, community engagement, and data functions.

Key responsibilities include:

• Working with community partners to ensure initiatives meet local priorities.
• Developing and maintaining a list of diverse cross-sector community partners and upcoming events.
• Organizing outreach against that list of community partners and upcoming events.
• Coordinating research and other activities with partners to minimize redundancies and align strategies.
• Building and maintaining relationships with community partners.
• Maintaining understanding of current implementation challenges and developing comprehensive solutions.
• Communicating the objectives of Together Morgan County to the community and potential partners.
• Facilitating ongoing communication between Together Morgan County partners.
• Working with the anchor institution and executive table to identify potential funding sources.
• Coordinating target and indicator refinement with the executive table and working groups.
• Ensuring all partners are aware of targets and indicators.
• Collaborating with Save the Children's Lead Associate to foster an understanding of child safeguarding policies.

The Community Impact Coordinator will report to Morgan County Schools' K-12 Supervisor of Instruction and to Save the Children's point of contact.

Requisite qualifications include:

• A minimum of 3 years' work experience including 1 or more years of proven community outreach and coordination experience.
• Demonstrated success in building and maintaining relationships with senior executives.
• Advanced project management skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fluid, unstructured, entrepreneurial environment.
• Commitment to collective impact concepts, a results-based approach and centering equity in partners' collaborative work.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Strong community engagement and facilitation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral).
• Existing relationships with, or ability to build relationships with, a cross-sectoral range of stakeholders in the local or regional area.

Compensation for the position is competitive and commensurate with experience. Priority consideration will be given to candidates who are available to begin work promptly, as program activities for the current year are already underway.
