Certified Nursing Assistant

Cumberland Village Center, a Genesis Health Care skilled nursing and rehab facility in Cumberland, RI, is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide compassionate, resident-centered care. CNAs assist with daily living activities, mobility, hygiene, and comfort while supporting short-term rehab, long-term care, and memory care residents. You'll work closely with nurses and therapists, document care, follow safety and infection-control protocols, and help maintain a dignified, family-like environment that values teamwork, learning, and respect for every resident.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding residents
• Measure and record vital signs and report changes in condition to nursing staff
• Assist with safe resident transfers, mobility, and use of assistive devices
• Support residents in skilled nursing, long-term care, and memory care settings
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with facility procedures
• Follow infection control, safety, and fall-prevention protocols at all times
• Offer emotional support and respectful communication to residents and families
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and other team members in care planning
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and dignified resident environment
• Participate in ongoing training and quality improvement initiatives
