Coronary ICU Nurse

Tri Star Centennial Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Coronary ICU Nurse to join our expert team of cardiovascular care professionals in Nashville, Tennessee. This role is critical in providing exceptional care to patients with severe cardiac conditions in our state-of-the-art intensive care unit. As a Coronary ICU Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work alongside leading physicians and surgeons, utilizing the latest in medical technologies and treatments.

This position requires a deep understanding of cardiac care, patient management in critical conditions, and the ability to work seamlessly in a high-stress environment.

• Assess the patient's condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s), and ensure thorough and timely documentation of care administration in the patient's medical record.
  
  - Administer prescribed medications, monitor the patient for therapeutic response, and take appropriate action in the event of an unintended response to the medication.
• Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipating patient needs, and resolving them.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patient's medical condition, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding by translating complex medical terminology.

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (RN) Registered Nurse with cardiac and/or critical care experience preferred
• Registered Nurse Diploma, or Bachelors Degree, or Associate Degree
