Registered Nurse

This position provides clinical nursing support by communicating with patients and businesses, scheduling tests and consultations, obtaining specimens, assessing patients, performing office procedures, and maintaining clinical supplies.

• Requires a nursing diploma or degree from an accredited institution.
• Must be licensed by the State of Tennessee.
• At least one year of experience in a medical office setting.
• Proficient with Glucometer, BP cuff, thermometer, computer, autoclave, stethoscope, audio scope, phones, and oral/injectable medications.
• Work environment is office-based.
• Ability to sit, stand, communicate effectively in English (both orally and in writing), and lift over 20 pounds.
• Accurately records patient histories and vital signs.
• Administers immunizations and injections as needed.
• Provides patient counseling on health issues.
• Maintains clinical supplies and pharmaceuticals.
• Coordinates referrals and secures consultations with specialists.
• Triages phone calls and manages patient portal messages.
• Obtains prior authorizations for medications and tests.
• Ensures quality assurance for office lab.
• Assists physicians with office and surgical procedures.
• Follows universal precautions and proper lifting techniques to prevent injuries.
• Coordinates with pharmacies to ensure patients have necessary medications.
