LPN​/LVN

Patricia Neal Rehabilitation Hospital in Knoxville, TN seeks an LPN/LVN to provide compassionate bedside care for adults recovering from stroke, brain and spinal cord injury, and other complex conditions. The nurse will administer medications and treatments, monitor vitals, document in the EMR, support ADLs, and reinforce therapy goals. Collaborating with RNs, therapists, and physicians, the LPN/LVN promotes safety, skin integrity, and patient/family education.

• Provide direct bedside nursing care to adult rehabilitation patients under RN/physician direction
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Monitor, document, and report vital signs, patient status, and responses to treatment
• Support ADLs, mobility, and safety while reinforcing therapy and rehab goals
• Perform basic wound care and skin integrity prevention measures
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation in accordance with hospital policies
• Collaborate with RNs, therapists, and physicians in interdisciplinary care planning
• Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and discharge needs
• Follow infection control, fall prevention, and safety protocols at all times
• Participate in ongoing education, skills training, and quality improvement activities
