Duties and Responsibilities- Deliver primary care clinical services to uninsured adults.
- Deliver wellness/preventive and contraceptive care to eligible patients.
- Deliver clinical screening and treatment of communicable diseases, including sexually transmitted diseases and Hepatitis
C. - Promote disease prevention via patient education and ACIP recommended immunizations.
- Follow health department guidelines, protocols, and program recommendations.
- Follow professional development directives from the TN Board of Nursing.
- Participate in county and regional based activities as requested by county and regional supervisors.
- Master of Science or Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree in Nursing with Family Nurse Practitioner specialty focus.
- Hold and maintain valid, unrestricted State of Tennessee Advanced Practice Registered Nursing and Registered Nursing licenses.
- Hold and maintain valid certification as Family Nurse Practitioner from national credentialing organization such as ANCC or AANP.
- Primary care experience preferred.
- Valid Tennessee driver’s license. Must have available transportation as the position may involve occasional travel to alternate health department locations.
