Position Overview
At Pet Vet Care Centers, we’re committed to a culture of care. The Airport Pet Emergency Clinic located in Blountville, Tennessee seeks an Experienced Emergency Veterinarian. The role supports our high-quality emergency and critical‑care services across the Tri‑Cities region and surrounding states.

- Team member support:
Emotional wellbeing resources, grant circle, and national resources.
- Perform comprehensive patient exams and medical work‑ups.
- Communicate and educate clients.
- Perform diagnostic procedures and surgery.
- Maintain accurate medical records.
- Prescribe medications and follow controlled substance protocols.
- Promote teamwork and staff efficiency.
- Collaborate with Hospital Manager on weekly priorities.
- Evaluate and monitor hospital protocols from intake to discharge.
- Participate in daily rounds and practice management updates.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Veterinarian degree (DVM or VMD) from an accredited institution.
- Current state veterinary license.
- DEA registration.
- At least 1 year of experience in veterinary emergency practice.
- Strong diagnostic, surgical, and dental skills.
- Team‑oriented, excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Commitment to compassionate, high‑quality care.
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff and clients.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform required tasks.
- Clinical expertise in cardiovascular, respiratory, orthopedic, neurological examinations.
- Problem‑solving and business acumen in veterinary hospital management.
- Professionalism and constructive feedback ability.
- Ethics knowledge and commitment to continuing education.
- Proficiency in communicating treatment plans to clients and staff.
$120,000 — $150,000 USD
