About you and this role - What you will do in this role

You are a team player that requires minimal supervision. You can perform Lab tasks using advanced Lab instrumentation in a safe and efficient manner, execute data entry of Lab results into quality database, and maintain Lab Housekeeping and organization to high standards.

Responsibilities - Duties, projects, tasks, and activities you would be responsible for in this role
  • Perform qualification testing of raw materials, in-process, batch final, shipment final, and special request samples.
  • Perform testing according to written test methods.
  • Notify appropriate individuals of all non ACC1 material.
  • Record QC data on lab requests and SAP worksheets.
  • Record QC data on raw material lab requests.
  • Record QC data on Laboratory Requests and/or SAP worksheets.
  • Record/Enter QC Data in SAP database system.
  • Prepare and Issue certificates/letters of analysis.
  • Ensure test equipment is in control.
  • Take corrective actions to get instrumentation in control.
  • Quality resource to other team members.
  • Implement corrective actions.
  • Provide quality training to other team members.
  • Troubleshoot and perform minor repair of lab instrumentation.
  • Troubleshoot quality procedures, test methods, and work instructions.
  • Back-up other analysts.
  • Complete housekeeping duties.
  • Monitors the Boiler/TPA alarm panel board in the Laboratory.
  • Maintain and order supplies/chemicals with the help of Lab Leadership.
  • Perform other work as necessary within the framework of the job.
Qualifications - Required education, experience and abilities that are needed for this role (must haves)
  • A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent and one or more of the following:

    • An Associate’s degree or higher in relevant science or engineering field.

    • 3 or more years of military experience.

    • 2 or more years of laboratory experience.

  • Willing and able to work 12-hour, rotating shift.

  • No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

Skills - Specific abilities and expertise required to perform tasks effectively in this role (must haves)
  • Advanced Lab Instrumentation
    :
    Proficiency in using advanced lab instruments to perform various tests and ensure accurate results.
  • Data Entry and Record Keeping
    :
    Ability to execute data entry of lab results into quality databases and maintain accurate records on SAP worksheets and lab requests.
  • Quality Control
    :
    Expertise in performing qualification testing of raw materials, in-process, batch final, shipment final, and special request samples, as well as recording and entering QC data.
  • Troubleshooting and Repair
    :
    Skills in troubleshooting and performing minor repairs of lab instrumentation, as well as troubleshooting quality procedures, test methods, and work instructions.
  • Housekeeping and Organization
    :
    Maintaining lab housekeeping and organization to high standards, ensuring a clean and efficient work environment.
  • Team Collaboration and Training
    :
    Ability to work effectively as a quality resource to other team members, provide quality training, and back-up other analysts when needed.
  • Safety and Compliance
    :
    Ensuring a safe work environment by working safely and complying with environmental, health, and safety standards, as well as monitoring the Boiler/TPA alarm panel board in the laboratory.
