Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Technician

The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Technician supports the organization’s efforts to maintain a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible workplace. This role plays a key part in daily EHS operations, including regulatory compliance, safety inspections, environmental monitoring, training support, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Technician works closely with the EHS Manager and cross-functional teams to strengthen the company’s safety culture and environmental stewardship.

• EHS Program Support - Standardize and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and programs. Assist EHS manager as needed.
• Regulatory Compliance - Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations (OSHA, EPA, TDEC, etc.). Update and maintain compliance calendars.
• Safety Inspections - Conduct routine workplace inspections, hazard assessments, and job-specific safety evaluations.
• Incident Management - Support incident investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective action tracking.
• Data & Metrics - Collect, analyze, and report safety and environmental performance data.
• Training Support - Prepare training materials, assist with hands-on instruction, and maintain training records.
• Documentation & Reporting - Maintain EHS logs, permits, inspection records, and audit documentation.
• Environmental Monitoring - Assist with waste management, recycling programs, emissions tracking, and spill prevention.
• Emergency Preparedness - Participate in emergency response planning and drills.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration - Partner with operations, maintenance, and leadership teams to promote a proactive safety culture.

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety
  , Occupational Safety
  , Industrial Hygiene
  , Public Health, Engineering or related field
• Foundational knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT and related compliance standards
• 1-3 years of relevant experience
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Ability to interpret technical documents and perform basic measurements and calculations

• OSHA 10 or 30
• ISO 1400 training
• DOT, RCRA, Hazmat training
• Lean Manufacturing
• Familiarity with Learning Management Systems
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or technical environments
• Familiarity with data analysis tools or reporting software
