Description
Your day may include:
- Inspecting manufactured parts, tools, and components using blueprints, engineered drawings, sketches, and specifications.
- Verifying dimensions, alignments, clearances, and other print requirements.
- Using precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, drop micrometers, gauge blocks/pins, indicators, comparators, and other inspection tools.
- Determining the best inspection method and proper measuring equipment for each part.
- Using or learning equipment such as CMMs, vision systems, and contour tracers.
- Identifying and documenting parts that do not meet specifications through Nonconformance Reports (NCRs).
- Working with Manufacturing, Engineering, Sales, and other Quality team members to resolve questions or quality concerns.
- Completing inspection documentation accurately and efficiently.
- Helping keep production moving without sacrificing quality or accuracy.
- Participating in training, cross-training, and continuous improvement efforts.
What We Are Looking For:
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong basic math skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer skills and willingness to learn new technology and systems.
- Ability to understand and apply technical information.
- Dependability and a strong commitment to workplace safety.
Direct Quality Assurance experience is not required . If you have the right mechanical aptitude, manufacturing knowledge, and willingness to learn, we encourage you to apply.
Even Better if You Have:
- Manufacturing or machining experience.
- Experience reading blueprints or engineered drawings.
- Experience using precision measuring equipment.
- Quality inspection or Quality Assurance experience.
- Tool & die experience or experience in a related skilled trade.
- Education or training in Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field.
