You will carry out your activity within an experimental poultry unit of about thirty people, whose missions consist of conducting Zootechnical experiments on different poultry species and maintaining genetic lines of scientific interest. The unit also has a feed manufacturing workshop, an incubator and an experimental slaughterhouse, and relies on equipment for phenotyping and data acquisition used in various scientific projects.

You will contribute to the software development of the unit's scientific equipment, in close liaison with researchers, experimenters and animal teams. Your mission will focus on the collection, securing and initial processing of scientific data from experimental devices, as well as the development of new digital tools to meet the needs of research teams. This position presents a strong technical and scientific challenge in a context of development of digital tools applied to animal experimentation and high-throughput phenotyping.

You will participate in the continuous improvement of existing devices and the development of innovative solutions facilitating the monitoring of animals, data management and automation of experiments. In this context, you will be in charge of the following activities:
Software Development And Data Management
- Develop software and applications for the collection and initial processing of scientific data.

- Design digital tools for monitoring breeding parameters, animal welfare and phenotypic data
- Implement data security and alert systems accessible to experimental teams.

- Participate in the development of video-tracking solutions and tools using artificial intelligence.

- Ensure the update and maintenance of the CATI SICPA information system for poultry modules. Monitoring Of Scientific Equipment
- Monitor high-throughput phenotyping equipment in progress experimentation.

- Control the quality and continuity of data uploads.

- Propose technical and ergonomic improvements to existing tools.

- Participate in the development of new automated devices adapted to scientific needs.

- Contribute to the maintenance and evolution of the unit's digital equipment. Technical Support And Collective Functioning
- Interact with researchers, experimenters and animal handlers to identify technical needs.

- Participate in working groups and projects related to digital tools and information systems.

- Provide a proximity IT support function for the unit.

- Write and update technical documentation associated with developed tools.

The position entitles to an IT premium whose level will be determined at the end of the campaign, subject to the candidate meeting the conditions for the award of said premium.

You will carry out your activity in various experimental environments, including controlled atmosphere breeding buildings and alternative open-air systems. Occasional interventions may be necessary within experimental facilities to ensure the monitoring of equipment and data collection devices.

You are from a training in computer science, software development or in an equivalent field. Practical skills in application development and data management would be appreciated. Knowledge of animal experimentation or scientific data collection systems would be an asset. Know-how:
