Position
Description:
The Center for Predictive Medicine seeks a Research Technician II to support a research laboratory that discovers and develops antiviral drugs. The Research Technician II will coordinate recombinant production of protein reference standards and the monoclonal antibodies used to identify them. This is a grant-funded position and continued employment is contingent upon the availability of funds.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Participate in the design and execution of research experiments.
Independently perform data acquisition and collect, collate, and analyze research experimental data.
Prepare data for publication and draft research papers and technical reports.
Perform critical analyses of literature relevant to research undertaken. Assist in the preparation of technical reports, research papers and manuscripts for publication and presentation at conferences and workshops.
Assist in the review and revision of laboratory policies and procedures.
Participate in the planning and development of goals for the research project and laboratory. Assist in the establishment of test controls, criteria, and research standards.
Other related duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications Three or more years of experience with immunological and histopathological analyses.
Two or more years of experience working with recombinant protein production.
Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
