Firehouse Subs is looking for energetic, dependable, and guest-focused Shift Leads to join our team. As a Shift Lead, you'll help lead day-to-day restaurant operations while supporting the General Manager and Assistant Manager in delivering excellent food, service, cleanliness, and team performance.

As a Shift Lead, you'll help lead successful restaurant shifts from start to finish. You will:

• Lead by example and provide direction and support to team members throughout the shift
• Help ensure every guest receives fast, friendly, and accurate service
• Maintain Firehouse Subs standards for food quality, preparation, portioning, and presentation
• Assign positions and deploy team members based on business needs
• Monitor speed of service and make adjustments to keep operations running efficiently
• Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, temperature control, and food safety procedures are followed
• Complete required food safety and temperature logs accurately and on time
• Immediately address and communicate any food safety concerns
• Support proper opening, closing, and shift-change procedures
• Assist with cash handling, register procedures, deposits, and other assigned financial controls
• Monitor product levels and help ensure proper stocking, rotation, and inventory procedures
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe restaurant for guests and employees
• Coach team members in the moment and reinforce company policies and operating standards
• Help train and develop new and existing team members
• Communicate equipment, maintenance, staffing, food safety, and operational concerns to restaurant management
• Assist restaurant management with controlling food waste and labor during assigned shifts
• Handle guest concerns professionally and work to resolve issues quickly
• Help create a positive, respectful, and accountable workplace
• Perform team member duties and work restaurant stations as needed

• Previous restaurant, retail, or customer service experience preferred
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred, but not required
• Strong communication and people skills
• Ability to lead by example and provide clear direction to team members
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work with a sense of urgency
• Strong attention to food safety, cleanliness, and operational standards
• Ability to remain calm and make good decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to coach team members and hold standards consistently
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as business needs require
• Ability to perform the physical duties required in a fast-paced restaurant environment
