Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Position Overview
Install marine engines and related systems in boats, ensuring proper alignment and integration with the vessel’s operational systems. Responsible for installing cabinets, floors, cockpits, benches, and other installation tasks as assigned.
Essential Functions- Perform diagnostic checks and tests to ensure engines are functioning correctly and efficiently.
- Connect electrical systems, fuel lines, and cooling systems, ensuring all components work harmoniously.
- Conduct routine maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and repair or replace defective parts to ensure optimal engine performance.
- Maintain detailed records of installations, maintenance, and repairs.

Required Qualifications- 2–3 years of manufacturing experience, engine installation, or boat building experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of hand tools.
- Ability to lift heavy objects.
- Ability to multi‑task.
- Ability to read and understand prints and production schedules.
- Ability to work with suspended loads and heavy lifting.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to adapt to changing requirements in a positive and proactive way.
- Ability to interact professionally and effectively with all levels within the organization.
- Ability to work in a dusty and hot environment.
- Knowledge of hazardous chemical handling and disposal.
- Must be flexible to work extended hours to support the requirements of the business.
- Maintain cleanliness and ensure safety compliance, including PPE adherence and safe behaviors.
- Report all hazards to supervisor immediately.
- Understand basic terminology such as OSHA, DEP, and other regulatory agencies.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (e.g., safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves).
Pay range: $21.42 to $24.05 per hour, depending on experience and market. Candidates may also be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus or short‑term incentive program and a long‑term incentive award target.
