Facilities/Maintenance Technician
Position Overview:
As a Facilities/Maintenance Technician at NOGJ in Jonesborough, you will perform a variety of duties within the Maintenance department and will provide support throughout the facility and within all areas of production. This position reports directly to the Facilities/Maintenance Supervisor. This position requires the ability to work any shift (1st, 2nd, or 3rd), the ability to work overtime, weekends and shifts of 10 to 12 hours per day.
Working under general supervision and following established policies, you will perform assignments requiring general use and application of concepts, practices and techniques within various areas of the facility.

Your Day to Day as Facilities/Maintenance Technician:
- Troubleshoot, perform maintenance, install and repair fluid systems and chemical processing equipment including but not valves, pumps, process control systems, heaters, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical equipment
- Apply system lock out devices and conduct maintenance on hazardous chemical systems
- General building and grounds maintenance; installation, repair and maintenance of electrical and plumbing systems and equipment
- Carpentry
- Report issue and out of control conditions to supervision/management
- Evaluate, prioritize and complete requests for repair
- Perform basic to moderately complex data collection
- Report and provide feedback to supervision
- Conduct inspections and make recommendations to supervision
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on process systems equipment and components
- Perform modifications to equipment
- Assist with preventative maintenance
- Maintain records as required
- Maintain clean work area
- Assist in other areas of the facility as required
Required Qualifications:
- Associates Degree or completion of two (2) years at a technical school or equivalent experience. Courses of study must be in maintenance/facilities related field.
- Must have at least six (6) years facilities/maintenance work experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Intermediate knowledge of troubleshooting; repair/maintenance of various machinery including but not limited to valves, pumps, process control systems, hydraulic and mechanical components, heaters, PLC's, and power distribution systems
- Advanced knowledge of maintenance trades and associated tools and equipment including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, air conditioning, machinery and equipment repairs a plus
- Analytical ability to perform moderately complex equipment evaluations
- Intermediate knowledge of math involving algebra and geometry
- Ability to schedule and prioritize workflow
- Effective computer skills and literacy
- Ability to effectively interface with all levels of personnel and external contacts
- Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Able to work effectively in a team environment.
- Able to work any shift (1st, 2nd, 3rd)
- May be required to wear a respirator in the performance of normal duties and will be required to maintain clean shaven protocol for respirator fit testing
- Must be able to work 10 plus hours per shift.

- Must be available to work overtime and/or on weekends as needed
- Must be a US Citizen with no dual citizenship
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DOD) and/or Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance

- Pay: $$26.92 - $$42.31 The starting hourly rate for this position in Tennessee (US-TN) at the start of employment is expected to be between $$26.92 and $$42.31 per hour.
