Location: Greenbrier
Clean Harbors in Greenbrier, TN is seeking a Field Services Technician I to join our safety‑conscious team in the field. Responsibilities include hazardous waste cleanup, site remediation, equipment decontamination, and handling hazardous materials.
Travel / On Call / Emergency ResponseNew hires must attend a two‑week Academy (paid). Training may be out of state; the company covers expenses.

- Engage in strenuous physical labor, including lifting and pulling heavy objects.
- Operate light and heavy equipment, hand tools, and powered industrial tools.
- Wear and properly use PPE, including respirators and other protection.
- Work in various temperatures indoors and outdoors, all weather conditions.
- Work in atmospheres with potential exposure to hazardous, toxic, or corrosive agents.
- Work in elevated noise levels, confined spaces, and low‑clearance areas.
- Work at elevations, including ladders and scaffolding.
- Assist in field sampling activities and meter calibration.
- Climb ladders, scaffolding, and containers as needed.
- Work extended (> 8 hrs) time periods.
- Attend compliance and safety update meetings.
- Inspect drums for container integrity and regulatory compliance.
- Safely load and unload hazardous and non‑hazardous waste.
- Conduct waste‑stream sampling and profiling as necessary.
- Follow all local, state and federal compliance regulations.
- Safely operate vehicles per DOT and federal requirements.
- Follow all corporate operating guidelines and procedures.
- Observe all environmental health and safety guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Be on call for emergency response on a rotating basis every other week.
- Perform site‑remediation, equipment decontamination, and handling of hazardous materials.
- Required Qualifications:
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to perform physical functions per key responsibilities.
- Availability for emergency response, including on weekends and holidays; responses may extend 12‑24 hrs.
- Pass background check, drug test, and physical exam.
- Meet facial hair standards under OSHA Respiratory Protection standard 29 CFR 1910.34.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license.
- Previous relevant labor experience.
