Skilled Laborer

SKILLED LABORER – TRAVEL REQUIRED Employment Requirements

• 18 years of age or older
• Valid CDL driver’s license

An upper level position with advancement opportunities that requires physical labor, project management skills, and excellent communication skills on job sites.

• Full Time, Hourly/Salary

• Extreme heat or extreme cold

To include, but not limited to:

• Time Management Skills
• Complex Problem Solving Skills
• Integrity and honesty
• Willingness to learn on the job
• OSHA 10 training and PPE provided.

To include, but not limited to:

• Managing and motivating a crew of subordinates — organize, plan, and prioritize work needed to be done
• Obtaining information on the job (i.e. reading blueprints, reading tape measure, understanding specifications, understanding work orders)
• Maintain a safe working environment – ensure all subordinates wear PPE
• Experience with operating construction equipment (i.e. forklifts, skid steers, bucket trucks, etc.)
• Experience maintaining and repairing equipment on site
• Communicating with DOT officials, subcontractors, general superintendents
• Perform jobsite housekeeping – manual labor, general material handling, tool/truck organizing
• Basic understanding of carpentry (i.e. building forms)
• Basic understanding of concrete (i.e. scheduling concrete trucks, pouring foundations)
• Submit weekly paperwork to superiors (i.e. timesheets, safety checklists)
