Opportunity
We are seeking an IBD-K Field Service Technician/Engineer to support engineering and technical services of Force Protection Systems (FPS) Family of Systems (FOS) for the IBD-SS program. Responsibilities include maintenance, training, and direct customer support for Integrated Base Defense (IBD) Kitting platforms and the accompanying Elevated Sensors family of systems.
- Perform analyses of system operations specific to IBD-K.
- Create capabilities and provide technical services, subject matter expertise, and software solutions for IBD platforms.
- Operate and maintain hardware systems and components.
- Detect, isolate, and correct faults in hardware systems and components.
- Conduct routine system maintenance and configuration—including adding, removing, and replacing hardware, using diagnostic tools, and repairing printed circuit boards.
- Sustain system operations, perform PMCS maintenance on towers and payloads.
- Conduct site surveys to determine system placement and configuration.
- Install, de‑install systems and components, and train operators and end users.
- Update databases, inform supervisor of job status, and track work orders, including part serial numbers.
- Travel via military/commercial conveyances to outlying areas as required.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and electronics measuring and test equipment, and perform minor generator maintenance.
- Generate data and reports.
- Exhibit professional customer service skills and maintain a positive approach with customers and peers.
- Endure physical demands of seasonal temperatures and austere environments.
- Be willing to support up to an 84‑hour extended work week.
Candidate must have experience performing mechanical, electronics, and IT networking tasks, and be capable of installing, de‑installing, testing, and preventive maintenance on sensors and communication equipment such as ECP, BETSS‑C, Cerberus, RDISS, Radar, PTP radio, television, IBD_K, and related components. A strong background in IT networks and network security is desired. CONUS training at various locations is required prior to deployment.

Pay Range $73,450.00 - $. The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and is not a guarantee of compensation. Compensation decisions also consider responsibilities, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors.
