Industrial Maintenance Technician

As an Industrial Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing distribution equipment such as transformers, motors, and breakers. You will locate areas of electrical trouble using proper test equipment, replace generators, motors, and controllers, and test, energize, and repair different types of circuits. You should be capable of testing, troubleshooting, changing, and programming PLCs or drives. Additionally, you will be tasked with repairing machinery as required and actively participating in maintenance activities.

• Troubleshoot and repair distribution equipment such as transformers, motors, and breakers.
• Locate areas of electrical trouble using proper test equipment.
• Replace generators, motors, and controllers.
• Test, energize, and repair different types of circuits.
• Test, troubleshoot, change, and program PLCs or drives.
• Repair machinery as required and actively participate in maintenance.

• Electrical troubleshooting and repair experience.
• Industrial electrical knowledge.
• PLC troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring blueprints.
• Experience in industrial maintenance.

• 2-5+ years of maintenance experience.
• Associate’s Degree in Industrial Electronics or Mechanics, or equivalent preferred.
• TPM knowledge preferred, but not required.
• Journeyman’s License preferred.

The work environment may vary with areas that may or may not be air‑conditioned or heated, and conditions may be humid, hot, or cold depending on the season. You may be required to work in tight spaces and at heights daily. There is possible exposure to noise levels over 90 decibels for extended periods at certain locations. The production floor may have moving machinery or objects, and floor surfaces can be slippery.

You may also be exposed to chemicals that can cause eye or skin irritation, respiratory system irritation, and static electricity. Handling sharp implements and exposure to outside elements can occur occasionally.

Permanent position based out of Old Hickory, TN.

Pay range: $67,000.00 - $75,000.00/yr.
