Summary
We are a boat manufacturer seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform routine maintenance in a large manufacturing facility. Tasks include welding, machinery troubleshooting, repair, electrical troubleshooting, HVAC, and handling air, resin, and gel equipment.
- Support the welding shop schedule and repairs.
- Apply high energy, self-motivation, and initiative to learn and be trained on various types of equipment and maintenance techniques.
- Troubleshoot, rebuild, and repair production‑related equipment.
- Provide high levels of customer service through dynamic daily duties.
- Track workload via daily schedules and assignments, ensuring quality and timeliness.
- Work hours:
typically four (4) days per week, 10 hours per day (6:00 AM–4:30 PM, Monday‑Thursday), adjusted as demands require.
- Welding experience is required.
- High school diploma or equivalent GED.
- Three to five years of commercial or industrial facility maintenance experience, including machinery repair and electrical troubleshooting; CNC experience is a plus.
- Strong mechanical and electrical background; experience with electrical motor controls and programming is a strong plus.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and build to specifications.
- Forklift and high‑lift (genie boom) certification required.
- Must be comfortable with high foot travel, overhead lifting, working at heights (ladders, rooftops, booms, lifts, platforms), and operating in various manufacturing environments and weather conditions.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools, measuring devices (OHM, voltage meters, tapes, calipers, gauges).
- Commit to working safely and reporting hazards immediately.
- Understand OSHA, DEP, and other regulatory terminology.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, etc.).
- Complete OSHA questionnaire, pass spirometer test, and wear respirator when required.
- Physically capable of lifting, bending, climbing stairs, standing, and performing job duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Understand and follow all safety documents, worksite rules, equipment operating instructions, and safety management systems.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety compliance, PPE adherence, and safe behaviors.
- Work in a manufacturing environment with required PPE and safety policies.
Hourly pay; base wage varies based on experience, business needs, and location.
