Job Summary:The Automation Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of automated systems and machinery. This role requires a strong understanding of control systems, programming, and various automation technologies to ensure optimal performance of our automated processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain automated equipment, including PLCs, HMI systems, sensors, and robotics.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues on automated systems.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on automation equipment to enhance reliability.
• Collaborate with engineers and production staff to develop and implement automation solutions tailored to specific processes.
• Document all maintenance and repair activities, creating and maintaining accurate logs and reports.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in automation and control systems.
• Provide technical support and training to production personnel on the operation of automated equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols within the automation area.

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in Automation Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field;
  Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Proven experience in an automation technician role or a similar position.
• Strong understanding of PLC programming and troubleshooting (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens).
• Familiarity with HMI software and configuration.
• Solid knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
