Summertown Metals is looking for a self motivated diesel mechanic to work in our maintenance department. This is a full-time position, Monday Through Friday, 7am - 5pm. This position is eligible for benefits that include medical, dental, vision, accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity, life, STD, LTD, 401K, PTO and vacation time.

Job duties include, but are not limited to

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on all trucks, trailers, forklifts, moffetts and any other Summertown Metals property.
  • Mechanic repair and maintenance work from schedule unless emergency that is disrupting production or impeding danger. It is best to operate off a list and complete jobs in a systematic way to avoid to many open projects. Our goal is to have all calls and scheduling come thru Lisa Barber to free you from interruptions for completing repairs.
  • Maintenance and repairs as needed by manufacturing.
• Check equipment for work or defective parts and determine if equipment is in top operating condition, then correct by repairing or replacing.
• Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair a broad range of mechanical systems and equipment.
• Focus on completion rather than having too many open projects.
• Conduct annual inspections on trucks and trailers.
• Use and care for hand and power tools in accordance with safety and good operating practices.
