Residential HVAC Service Technician

Bullman Heating & Air seeks a Residential HVAC Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain heating, cooling, and indoor air quality systems for homeowners in the Asheville area. In this field-based role, you'll troubleshoot furnaces, air conditioners, and heat pumps; perform preventive maintenance; and ensure safe, efficient system performance. You'll communicate clearly with customers, explain findings and options, and document all work.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair residential heating, cooling, and heat pump systems on-site
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and system tune-ups
• Install and replace components such as motors, capacitors, controls, and thermostats
• Check refrigerant levels, test electrical systems, and verify safe, efficient operation
• Document work performed, parts used, and recommendations in service tickets
• Educate homeowners on system operation, maintenance, and upgrade options
• Follow company safety procedures and local HVAC codes and standards
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked service vehicle and company tools
• Collaborate with dispatch and office staff to manage daily schedule and customer updates
• Represent Bullman Heating & Air professionally and support a customer-first culture
