Join Oracle's Technical Strategy and Oversight (TSO) organization as we transform Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). We are reimagining how software and the cloud work together to deliver mission‑critical applications of the highest quality for our customers. OCI spans more than 50 regions worldwide and is expanding beyond traditional public‑cloud boundaries to include dedicated, hybrid, multi‑cloud, edge computing, and more. This role is an exciting greenfield opportunity to design and build new cloud services from the ground up, working with a highly motivated, diverse, and autonomous engineering team.

You are self‑starting, independent, and able to operate with minimal supervision. You have a track record of delivering high‑quality, reliable, and performant distributed services in a collaborative environment. You balance speed of delivery with quality through iteration and incremental improvements, and you are comfortable tackling technical debt. You contribute to architecture, design, development, deployment, and maintenance of OCI cloud services and help foster a culture of operational excellence, automation, and instrumentation.

You work closely with architects, product managers, and program managers to deliver product features on time with high quality.

• 7+ years of distributed service engineering experience in a software development environment.
• Experience developing in modern programming languages such as Java, Rust, C++, or C#.
• Proficient in managing, building, and deploying code with tools such as Git, Maven, and Intelli

• Hands‑on experience designing, developing, and operating public‑cloud service control or data planes.
• Expertise in software performance profiling, analysis, and optimization.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals.

• Good understanding of Linux administration and networking stack configuration.
• Strong understanding of object‑oriented design and SDK development, specifically within a cloud environment.

• Demonstrable technical leadership and mentorship skills.

• Hands‑on experience developing services on a public cloud platform (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience driving security reviews, documentation, UX reviews, and working with product managers from inception through launch.
• Building continuous integration/deployment pipelines with robust testing and deployment schedules.
• Proven experience in building and operating distributed workflow management and reporting systems.
