This Software Engineer will play a Mainframe Developer role. The SPS Data Conversion Mainframe Developer is a key member of an integrated implementation team responsible for the successful transition of conversion data for SPS plan implementations. While adhering to established processes and procedures, the SPS Data Conversion Mainframe Developer will work closely with all conversion partners to convert, audit, validate, reconcile, and load conversion data.

Responsibilities of the role includes

* Ability to understand and analyze the functional requirements

* Work on data conversion projects

* Auditing of output and reports

* Close interaction with the project team members

* Peer review and testing.

The Skills that are Key to this role

* 3 - 6 years of work experience in Cobol, DB2, JCL, VSAM, REXX and Python

* Displays a full understanding of the software development process including analysis, design, coding, system and user testing, problem resolution and planning.

* Ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups, both in person and virtually, in a constructive and collaborative manner

* Ability to quickly learn, adapt and strive to meet the needs of a fast paced, changing environment

* Ability to navigate organizationally to accomplish tasks

* Ability to work on multiple efforts simultaneously

Required Technical skills

* Experience in Mainframe development using COBOL

* Knowledge of DB2, JCL, VSAM, REXX and Python

* Exposure to Distributed Technology like JAVA, Angular will be an added advantage.

* Knowledge of SQL, File-aid, SPUFI and Platinum is preferred.

* Domain knowledge of Retirement Services is a plus

* Experience in Agile development methodology and Jira/Git Stash tool
