As a Senior Engineer, you serve as a specialist in the engineering team that supports the product. You help develop and gain insight in the application architecture. You can distill an abstract architecture into concrete design and influence the implementation. You show expertize in applying the appropriate software engineering patterns to build robust and scalable systems. You are an expert in programming and apply your skills in developing the product.

You have the skills to design and implement the architecture on your own, but choose to influence your fellow engineers by proposing software designs, providing feedback on software designs and/or implementation. You show good problem solving skills and can help the team in triaging operational issues. You leverage your expertise in eliminating repeat occurrences.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with 4-7 years of experience in software design and development, specializing in scalable backend systems. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in JVM-based technologies (primarily Java), a solid foundation in system design, and experience building resilient, production-grade applications. Exposure to AI/LLM integration and automation is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

* Design and build scalable, resilient architectures, making optimal technology choices for services and platforms owned by the team

* Take ownership of end-to-end development, including complex problem-solving and hands-on implementation

* Ensure solutions are production-ready, with a strong focus on scalability, reliability, and performance

* Drive code quality, engineering standards, and infrastructure best practices across the team

* Provide technical leadership, including mentoring and fostering a strong learning culture

* Maintain deep ownership of production systems, including operational excellence and automation maturity

* Apply strong system design principles, including scalability, fault tolerance, and performance optimization

Observability & Reliability

* Ensure robust monitoring and observability practices are in place

* Leverage operational data to drive performance and stability improvements

* Promote a culture of observability aligned with organizational standards

Security

* Champion a security-first mindset across development

* Implement secure coding practices and proactively identify vulnerabilities

* Analyze system and network behaviors to detect and mitigate risks

AI / GenAI Responsibilities

* Integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) and GenAI capabilities into core applications

* Build systems that improve AI reliability and reduce hallucinations

* Develop agentic frameworks and AI-driven automation to enhance processes

Required Skills

* Advanced proficiency in Java (JVM ecosystem)

* Strong experience with microservices architecture

* Hands-on experience with Spring Boot

* Experience with AI/LLM integration and GenAI-based solutions

* Expertise in AI reliability and automation frameworks (e.g., OpenAI APIs/SDKs)

* Experience with messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ)

* Strong knowledge of databases:

* Hands-on experience with React and Type Script

* Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git Lab, Gradle, etc.)

* Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)

* Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (Grafana, ELK Stack, Prometheus)

* Strong understanding of event-driven architecture

* Working knowledge of Python

* Experience with Linux and shell scripting

* Experience designing and integrating GraphQL APIs

* Knowledge of security best practices and secure coding
