Job DescriptionLeads the design, development and implementation of large scale and complex projects, ensures best practices in architecture, performance and security. Codes, tests and deploys software in all layers of the development life cycle. Provides the necessary documentation. Works with databases, APIs, servers, networks and various programming languages. Mentors team members and drives technical decisions. Works cross-functionally with product and business stakeholders.
Designs software code using multiple programming languages. Architects and develops scalable, secure, and high-performance. Tests newly developed software code. Documents code per the Company's processes. Communicates effectively with colleagues, managers, vendors, user focus groups and other stakeholders. Leads code reviews and enforces coding standards and is compatible with all hardware and software. Guides and mentors junior and mid-level developers. Evaluates and integrates new technologies and tools.
Complies with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures. Performs other duties as assigned.
Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or information systems or related field plus 3 years of work experience in information technology or engineering.
Alternatively, Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering, or information systems or related field plus 5 years of work experience in information technology or engineering in lieu of a Master’s degree plus 3 years of experience.
Experience with:
Java, Spring Boot, Angular, Azure, AKS, Oracle, Jenkins. Expert-level knowledge of front-end and back-end frameworks. Deep understanding of software architecture and design patterns. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong programming skills. Proven computer/coding skills in multiple languages. Analytical, problem‑solving, time‑management, organizational and interpersonal skills. Good presentation skills and ability to handle multiple projects. Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with professionals from a range of technical and non‑technical backgrounds.
A related advanced degree may offset some of the related work experience requirements.
Location & Working ArrangementsThis position will be hybrid in Memphis, TN and candidates must live within a 50-mile radius. Employees will be required to work at a Fed Ex office location up to several times per week.
Employer will accept one (1) year of directly related experience in lieu of one (1) year of education.
