Terminal Operator – DCC Propane, LLC

This is an entry‑level position responsible for daily operations of a Propane Terminal using compressors and pumps to offload Railcars into transports. The terminal operates in a fast‑paced and labor‑intensive environment. Operators perform tasks indoors and outdoors under varying temperature extremes, deal with heights, and safely handle propane.

• Operate and maintain high‑pressure storage facilities and pipeline equipment, including compressors, valves, gas measurement equipment, etc.
• Start‑up/shut down plant equipment; operate in recommended operating ranges.
• Visually inspect equipment and controls at periodic intervals to detect malfunctions or need for repair, adjustment, or lubrication.
• De‑pressure equipment and pipelines according to SOP; operate valves per SOP.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and record‑keeping requirements are met and monitored.
• Read, monitor, and record various operating conditions: pressure, temperature, hours, tank readings.
• Maintain safe and clean working conditions: pick up trash, control weeds, perform minor repairs and maintenance.
• Clean site glass, replace suction/discharge valves, light bulbs, fuses, and perform minor painting as needed.
• Collaborate with Terminal Manager on ways to improve plant and pipeline operating systems.
• Work on call as needed, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Responsible for environmental and safety inspections.
• Monitor plant performance for production and quality standards; respond to emergencies and provide daily operational reports.
• Abide by company policies and procedures.
• Other duties and projects as assigned.

• Minimum age 21 years.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical background.
• Physical ability to climb railcars; lift 75 lbs.
• Ability to work outside in extreme weather.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Detail oriented, self‑starter, works with little supervision, and meets goals/tasks.
• Good written and verbal communication skills; effective with staff, management, and vendors.
• Team‑oriented approach.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Regular attendance required.
