Location: Mason

Position Summary: The Fleet Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the fleet maintenance facility, ensuring all vehicles and equipment are maintained safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable regulations. This role requires strong mechanical expertise, leadership skills, organizational ability, and a proactive approach to fleet management and preventative maintenance.

  • Manage daily operations of the fleet maintenance shop and yard.
  • Oversee maintenance and repair activities for semi-trucks, enclosed trailers, pickup trucks, and custom vending units.
  • Develop and maintain preventative maintenance schedules to maximize fleet uptime and reliability.
  • Coordinate with the Director of Trucking to support fleet growth initiatives and long-term operational planning.
  • Maintain an organized, safe, and efficient shop and yard environment.
  • Manage inventory of parts, supplies, tools, and equipment.
  • Facilitate and document pre-trip and post-trip inspections with drivers.
  • Ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, and company safety standards.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and trailer-related issues and coordinate repairs.
  • Perform body repair, welding, fabrication, and equipment modifications as needed.
  • Coordinate vendor services, inspections, registrations, and outside repairs.
  • Shuttle equipment between company facilities, warehouses, vendors, and service providers when required.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, repair histories, and compliance documentation.
  • Support emergency repairs and operational needs during peak event seasons.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in fleet maintenance, trailer repair, diesel mechanics, or related field.
  • ASE Certification preferred.
  • Strong welding and fabrication skills.
  • Valid CDL Class A driver's license required.
  • Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA compliance regulations; compliance management experience preferred.
  • Experience maintaining semi-trucks, enclosed trailers, pickup trucks, and related equipment.
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience supervising shop operations, maintenance personnel, or fleet-related teams is preferred.
  • Personal tools are a plus but not required.
