Driver Class A

Clean Harbors in Greenbrier, TN is seeking a Class A CDL Driver / Hazmat / Tanker to operate a variety of heavy and light duty trucks/work equipment at customer sites, including vacuum trucks, Cuscos, guzzlers, and roll offs. The role involves driving and non-driving duties on and off customer sites associated with hazardous waste clean-up.

Pay Range: $14.84 - $39.46 per hour.

Position requires on‑call emergency response on a rotating basis every other week.

New hires must attend a two‑week Academy (paid) training, which may be out of state. Expenses are covered by the company.

• Ensure health and safety by adhering to all safe work practices, policies, and processes.
• Operate commercial trucks and assist field laborers as needed.
• Operate a variety of Class A trucks.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Perform manual labor on site to meet customer needs.
• Proper placarding of vehicles to meet company and DOT requirements.
• Maintain daily logs, timesheets, and various reports.
• Follow all local, state (provincial), and federal compliance regulations and rules.
• Safely operate vehicles per U.S. DOT and other applicable regulations.
• Observe all company environmental health and safety operating guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Be on call for emergency response on a rotating basis every other week.
• Handle site remediation, equipment decontamination, and hazardous material handling.

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Ability to obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsement within 90 days of employment.
• Ability to use various mobile devices.
• Ability to perform physical functions required by the job.
• Successful completion of background check, drug test, and physical exam.
• Compliance with OSHA's Respiratory Protection Standard 29 CFR 1910.34 (facial hair standards if respirator required).

• Commercial driver experience.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsement.
• Previous Hazmat experience.
• Ability to operate a manual transmission.
• Previous manual labor experience.
