Compensation Range: $27.10 - $28.99 per hour
Purpose of the PositionUnder the direction of the Transportation Manager, coordinate and support the scheduling and execution of field trip logistics to include driver assignments, and compliance with district and state policies. Support the safe and efficient operation of student transportation services by coordinating daily driver activities, managing route logistics, and maintaining compliance with district and state regulations.

Duties and ResponsibilitiesTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. In addition to the requirements listed below, regular attendance is an essential function of this position.
High school diploma or GED certificate. Must have or be able to obtain (within 60 days of hire) and maintain a Class "B" CDL with School Bus, Passenger and Airbrake endorsements.
Knowledge,Skills and Abilities
1. Ability to demonstrate qualities aligned to our core values of Character, Communication, Collaboration and Continuous Improvement.
2. Computer experience to include e‑mail and Microsoft suite.
3. Knowledge of the roads and routes within the city of Rockford.
4. Proficient in Spanish (dependent upon department need)
Work Calendar12‑Months
Working ConditionsModerate-in-district travel as well as intermittent in-state and out-of-state travel. Intermittent prolonged and irregular hours of work.
