• Weighing vehicles:
  Operating the electronic truck scale to accurately weigh incoming waste trucks.
• Data entry:
  Recording vehicle information (license plate, weight, type of waste) into a computer system.
• Fee collection:
  Calculating and collecting tipping fees from truck drivers based on the weight of their loads.
• Load inspection:
  Visually checking truck loads for prohibited materials like hazardous waste or liquids, and notifying appropriate personnel if issues are found.
• Compliance checks:
  Ensuring that waste disposal regulations are followed by drivers.
• Customer service:
  Interacting with truck drivers, providing information about the weighing process, and addressing any concerns.
• Basic maintenance:
  Performing routine cleaning and maintenance tasks on the scale and scale house.
• Reporting:
  Generating reports on daily waste volume and revenue.

• Basic math skills:
  Ability to accurately calculate weights and fees.
• Computer proficiency:
  Familiarity with computer systems for data entry and reporting.
• Attention to detail:
  Ability to carefully monitor the weighing process and identify discrepancies.
• Communication skills:
  Clear communication with truck drivers regarding weighing procedures and compliance issues.
• Physical ability:
  Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions and may need to climb ladders for maintenance checks.
