Th e Route Driver is responsible fo r transporting transformer units and materials to their assigned locations, ensuring timel y delivery in a safe and efficient manner. Compliance with all safety requirements, transportation regulations and company policies are essential functions of this role.

• Operate trucks safely, following all traffic laws and adhering to company policies and procedures.
• Load and unload transformer units and materials, ensuring that items are properly secured during transit.
• Plan and follow the best routes, taking into account traffic and weather conditions to ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Manage an active list of customers and ensure customers are serviced according to the frequency of picks ups established by the commercial team
• Conduct regular vehicle inspections to maintain its safe operation, identifying and reporting any mechanical or electrical issues that require attention.
• Communicate effectively with team members, dispatchers and clients, updating on delivery statuses and p ossible delays .
• Adhere to safety protocols, such as wearing seat belts and personal protective equipment when required .
• Complete delivery logs and other necessary paperwork accurately and in a timely manner .
• Communicate courteously with other drivers, pedestrians, and road users.
• Interacting professionally with clients and notating customer preferences, acting as a contact for the company
• Compensation for this role is hourly . Drivers can expect an average of 40-50 hours a week, however this can vary based on business needs.

• HS diploma/GED required .
• 3 years working experience as a truck driver required .
• Valid Class A CDL required .
• Ability to operate both manual and automatic transmission vehicles required .
• ELD (Electronic Logging Device) experience preferred.
• Clean and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
• Basic knowledge of truck maintenance and repair, including identifying and reporting any mechanical or electrical issues
• Possess a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, cooperative attitude, strong attention to detail and can work in a team environment.
• Adheres to the company’s employee handbook policies and embodies the organization’s core values.
• Complete company compliance and safety training when required .
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and work under pressure in a fast-paced work environment.
• Physical requirements for this role include, but are not limited to the following:
• Driving for long durations
• Bending, squatting, kneeling, and lifting a minimum of 50lbs when unloading and securing cargo .
