The Shuttle/Yard Driver is a dual role. As a Shuttle Driver, you travel to and from the plant site delivering items, maintain the operating condition of the equipment, and perform daily inspections. As a Yard Driver, you respond to customer needs regarding movement and spotting of trailers, facilitate warehouse and plant material sorting and processing, and maintain a daily inventory of yard equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Maintain a neat and orderly storage lot oriented toward maximizing efficiency in servicing customer needs.
- Account for records involving trailer numbers and vehicle positions.
- Function and interact daily with warehouse supervisors and comply with safety requirements.
- Communicate using cellular telephone or 2‑way radio with operations and warehouse personnel in a courteous and professional manner.
- Maneuver trucks into loading and unloading positions, following signals from loading crew, and place safety wheel chocks to prevent trailer movement. When pup trailer movement is involved, take extra care with trailer jack stands.
- Properly use airline/electrical hookup and backing procedures.
- Follow all company policies, guidelines, and quality procedures.
- Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.
- Inspect and perform minor maintenance on equipment daily.
- Assist in maintaining security of the warehouse and yard.
- Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are delivered promptly and without damage.
- Efficiently deliver equipment and product in a timely manner without damage.
- Provide proper documentation with freight.
- Keep proper documentation of each load for each site.
- Maintain a clean, neat, orderly work area (truck) and assist in security of the warehouse.
- Comply with all Standard Operating Procedures, corporate and site‑specific policies, safety rules, and OSHA/MSDS Standards.
- Participate in safety meetings.
- Load, unload, move, stack, and stage product and materials using forklift, clamp truck, drum attachment, or other power equipment.
- Maintain facility equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
- Inspect and report any defects for repair on a daily basis.
- Operate all equipment safely and efficiently following prescribed work methods.
- Maintain an active Class A CDL certification.
- Perform or assist in building, grounds, and equipment maintenance as assigned.
- Fuel trucks as needed.
- Perform other duties as required.

MinimumRequired Qualifications
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1 year experience in logistics/distribution/relevant environment.
- Class A CDL and Health Card – valid and up to date.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Professional Designations
- Class A CDL and Health Card – valid and up to date.
Computer Skills
- Basic computer skills.
Language Skills
- English (reading, writing, verbal).
Mathematical Skills
- Basic to intermediate level to verify and perform related duties.

- Basic reading and writing skills.
- Ability to read and follow manufacturer instruction manuals.
- Ability to accomplish tasks in a timely manner.

- Clean driving record.
- Class A CDL is required.
- 1‑2 years experience in warehouse/logistics/distribution environment.
- 1‑2 years driving experience.
