The RoleWe are seeking a dedicated and reliable Material Handler to join our Warehouse team. This role is essential for the efficient movement and handling of materials within our facility, supporting daily warehouse operations.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with procurement staff to list expected deliveries.
- Receive shipments and sign paperwork upon receipt.
- Unload packages from incoming trucks.
- Inspect contents to ensure they are undamaged.
- Verify packages against orders and invoices (quantity, quality, price, etc.).
- Contact the supplier or shipper if a mistake is identified.
- Return unsatisfactory shipments or receive replacements.
- Label deliveries and allocate them to their designated place.
- Ensure invoices are signed and paid for satisfactory deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records and assist in inventory control.
- Maintain departmental housekeeping and 5S standards.
- Organize stock efficiently using forklifts, pallets, cranes, etc.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Proven experience as a shipping and receiving clerk or a similar position.
- Experience operating forklifts – forklift certification a plus.
- Working knowledge of computer programs for entering data.
- Solid understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Basic math and recording abilities.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Great communication and interpersonal abilities.
- A keen eye for detail.
- Experience using warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).
- Available to work full‑time hours, Monday – Friday 7am – 3:30pm.
- Must be available to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
The job requires regular standing, walking, crouching, kneeling, lifting, carrying, and reaching. Employees must be able to lift 25+ lbs and occasionally 50+ lbs. Work may occur outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
