Job Summary

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, inventory management, material distribution, and warehouse personnel to ensure efficient support of company operations. This role maintains inventory accuracy, ensures a safe and organized work environment, and coordinates closely with internal teams to meet material and operational needs. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on leader with strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills who is committed to continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Schedule And Onsite Requirements

This is a full‑time, on‑site position. The role requires regular in‑office attendance in Chapel Hill, TN and Murfreesboro, TN. Your supervisor will work with you to establish your schedule and adjust as necessary based on customer demands and the needs of the business.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Maintain warehouse security by implementing and monitoring appropriate procedures and controls.
  • Manage inventory accuracy through physical counts, cycle counts, and reconciliation with inventory systems.
  • Conduct monthly inventory audits of employee and contractor vehicles and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Supervise warehouse personnel by assigning work, monitoring performance, and providing coaching and development.
  • Coordinate with operations teams to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of material requests.
  • Manage the processing of returned materials, including returns, repairs, and disposal of obsolete inventory.
  • Review inventory for obsolete items and coordinate resale or disposal efforts as appropriate.
  • Ensure the warehouse, yard, and office areas are maintained in a safe, clean, and organized condition.
  • Maintain current industry knowledge through training, professional development, and continuing education opportunities.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Forklift certification or to be certified required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of warehouse experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, and the ability to review and analyze reports within company systems.
  • Strong ethical standards, work ethic, and commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
  • Ability to identify and implement process improvements that increase efficiency and control costs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills with a positive, customer‑focused approach.
  • Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and organized with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to operate office equipment, including computers, telephones, and software applications.
Work Environment

This position operates in a combination of warehouse and office environments. The role requires regular interaction with warehouse staff, contractors, and internal teams while managing inventory, materials, and daily warehouse operations. Work is performed in a fast‑paced environment with a focus on safety, organization, and operational efficiency.

Physical Demands
  • Frequently stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout the warehouse and yard.
  • Regularly use hands and fingers to operate computers, inventory systems, forklifts, and other warehouse equipment.
  • Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Operate forklifts and other material‑handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Visually inspect inventory, equipment, and warehouse conditions for accuracy and safety.
  • Occasionally climb ladders and work from elevated positions when accessing stored materials.
  • Perform repetitive motions associated with inventory management, material handling, and computer use.
  • Work in warehouse environments with exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and outdoor conditions.
