Education Requirements:
High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous warehouse or powered industrial equipment training is beneficial.
Experience Requirements:
Experience operating cherry pickers or similar powered industrial equipment safely and efficiently. Ability to retrieve, transport, and store inventory at elevated rack locations. Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and equipment inspections. Ability to accurately identify inventory, locations, and shipping documentation. Strong attention to detail, dependable attendance, and commitment to workplace safety.
Job Duties:
Operate a cherry picker forklift to retrieve, store, and organize product in high-rack warehouse locations. Scan inventory using handheld RF scanners to ensure accurate tracking. Build, wrap, and prepare pallets for storage and shipment. Move and organize boxes throughout the warehouse. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous warehouse, distribution, logistics, fulfillment, or manufacturing experience is preferred. Current certification or experience operating cherry pickers, order pickers, reach trucks, or forklifts is beneficial. Experience using RF scanners, warehouse management systems (WMS), or inventory software is considered an asset. Individuals who demonstrate safe operating practices, productivity, teamwork, and inventory accuracy are well positioned for success as a Cherry Picker Operator.
Physical Capabilities:
Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and safely operate powered industrial equipment throughout the shift. Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to work comfortably at elevated heights while operating cherry picker equipment. Ability to safely work around warehouse equipment and moving inventory while following established safety procedures. Ability to lift up to lbs.
