Position: Experienced Accounting Clerk at City
Join the City of Terrace as an Accounting Clerk III in a dynamic finance environment. This role involves clerical duties, financial report preparation, and public interaction to support the Finance Department.

Reporting to the Deputy Director of Finance, you will engage in various accounting tasks such as posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial documents. Your analytical and problem-solving skills will be essential as you tackle financial functions, support accounts receivable and payable, and assist with public inquiries. Help maintain accurate financial operations for the city.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform reception duties and engage with the public

• Post daily bank uploads and track bank transactions

• Prepare and distribute monthly financial reports

• Assist with correspondence and documentation

• Provide relief for Accounts Payable and Receivable

Requirements:

• Secondary school graduation

• Minimum three years in cashier and bookkeeping roles

• Proficiency in Windows, Vadim, Word, and Excel

• Strong analytical skills and account reconciliation ability

• Valid Class 5 B.C. Driver's Licence
